Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The authors warrant that the contribution is original, does not infringe any proprietary or copyright rights, and does not contain anything illegal.
  • The authors guarantee that the paper has not been published before, nor is it currently submitted to another journal for review, and if accepted by DaP, will not be submitted elsewhere.
  • Authors are required to provide the DOI identifier with cited references, if available. The DOI can be found with the article's full text, content, or article information on the journal's (publication's) or publisher's website.
  • Authors are responsible for observing ethical principles during research work and publication of their results, especially for observing research ethics and citation ethics.
  • Authors warrant that they have had significant input into the content and preparation of the paper, and that they have seen and approve of the content, authorship, order of authors, and list of references.
  • Authors undertake to actively participate in the review process and to perform final author proofreading before publication.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

Instructions for authors 
 
The journal "Diagnostics and Consultancy in Assisting Professions" accepts original scientific articles, research studies, discussion papers, reviews of professional monographs and research studies, important communications, reports on conferences, seminars and workshops.
 
By sending a contribution, the author confirms the originality of the text, which has not yet been published elsewhere. The author undertakes to observe the author's ethics.
 
The papers are published in Czech, Slovak and English.
 
Specification of individual categories of contributions:
  • Scientific articles, research studies, methodological contributions, discussions up to 30 standard pages (54,000 characters with spaces, including abstract and bibliography).
    These types of texts undergo an independent peer review process in the form of double-blind review. 
  • Review length up to 5 standard pages (9000 characters).
  • News conferences, seminars and workshops, important announcements with a range of up to 10 standard pages (18,000 characters).

Upon prior agreement with the editors, it is possible to agree on the individual scope of the contribution for empirical and theoretical studies.

Articles for publication should be sent by e-mail to the e-mail address of the dap@palestra.cz editorial office, or online using the contribution submission system.

Article submission charge or Article processing charge is not required from authors, publishing in DaC is free of charge.

Authors are fully responsible for the substantive, linguistic and formal level of the manuscript, which is one of the sub-criteria of the overall evaluation. The editors check and only the necessary basic linguistic and formal adjustments of the accepted texts.

Before submitting your paper

Please make sure you adhere to the standards of publication ethics. You will find more information on ethics in publishing in our Publication ethics principles.

A declaration of originality and a copyright transfer are part of the submission process.

Submission process

All papers are first assessed by editorial board.

Accepted articles in the DaC - reviewed section are then forwarded for review to two independent reviewers (peer review process).

The names and email addresses of potential reviewers should be part of submitting an article. Proposed reviewers should be independent with appropriate expertise on the subject of the paper and must not have the same affiliation as the author(s). The editors reserve the right to decide whether or not the proposed reviewers will be used.
