Volunteering in elderly homes during pandemia COVID-19

This article represents one of the forms of volunteering in social sphere, specifically the realization of voluteering in retirement homes. This article also aims on the changes in volunteering during the COVID-19 pandemic. Based off of the research article describes, how the volunteering is practically realized during "ordinary" times and subsequently how the volunteering realization changed during the times when it was necessary not only to respect various government restrictions, but also to behave in a way that was not threatening to the pensioners. The outcomes of the research clearly show that volunteering has shifted from the personal approach to online space and shaped into other new approaches and form. The article also presents the most significant barriers that stood in the way of volunteering during the COVID-19 pandemic. Authors conclude the good practice examples of volunteering in retirement homes in the final part of this article.
