Mental health disorders and professional burnout are most pronounced among workers in the helping professions. The prevention of psychological problems is of great importance in these professions. According to the results of this study, a therapeutic stay in a spa facility can be an effective way of preventing mental health problems. Based on the results of the standardized questionnaire POMS (Profile of Mood States), a significant change in the individual dimensions of the psychological state of the participating probands after a 7day stay in a specialized spa facility was observed. The most significant change after the spa stay was in the fatigue dimension. Staying in the spa helps to support the protection mechanisms of individuals, strengthens basic physiological functions and restores disturbed psychological functions of the organism.
