This article describes the expierences of trainers and instructors at City Kids Training Camps during the COVID – 19 pandemic. We have observed the negative impact on children of home isolation and the closure of sporting facilities. We see an increase in psychological and physical issues in children directly linked to the Covid strategies. These include higher body weights and problems with posture and mobility. In comparison to other years we observe children experiencing difficulties with motivation and team building skills. This article is a warning to all professionals involved in working with young people to improve their sporting skills.
