The physical self in students of middle special schools

Presented work examined, whether it is physical perceptions reflected in the assessment of Physical Self in students with disability to such an extent that there are significant differences between these students and students without disabilities.
The research was realized at secondary schools for the disabled and the PSPP-CZ (Physical Self Perception Profile) questionnaire was used, which divides the physical self into five domains (sports competencies, physical fitness, physical attractiveness, physical strength and physical self-esteem).
The research group formed 56 students of special middle school, 34 man and 22 women. The biggest part were students with cerebral palsy. The control group formed 59 students, 37 men and 22 women. The average age first group was 19,56 years, second group 17,24 years.
From the survey results that between students with disabilities and normal students there is no significant difference in any domain of physical self-concept.
