Odborný recenzovaný časopis zaměřený na problematiku diagnostiky a poradenství v různých oblastech podpory klienta – pedagogické, psychologické, kariérové, personální, sociální, výživové, sportovní, antropologické apod.

Časopis Diagnostika a poradenství je nezávislé odborné recenzované periodikum zaměřené na problematiku diagnostiky a poradenství v různých oblastech podpory klienta/pacienta – podpory pedagogické, psychologické, kariérové, psychomotorické, personální, sociální, výživové, sportovní, antropologické.

Vychází elektronicky v českém jazyce jako periodická publikace dvakrát ročně. Jedno číslo ročně je pravidelně věnováno problematice pedagogické a psychologické diagnostiky na vysokých školách, druhé číslo bude věnováno jiné diagnostické a poradenské oblasti a určené různých věkových skupinám.

Časopis představuje platformu pro předávání zkušeností vysokých škol zejména z  oblasti pedagogické a psychologické diagnostiky a poradenství, zároveň umožňuje sdílet zkušenosti i z jiných oblastí podpory klienta/pacienta.

Publikuje původní vědecké práce českých i zahraničních autorů, přehledové studie, diskuzní příspěvky, analytické recenze a zprávy vztahující se k diagnostické a poradenské teorii a praxi promítající do různých rovin spolupráce s klientem/pacientem.

Recenzní řízení

Průběh recenzního řízení:
Každý příspěvek je posuzován v nezávislém anonymním recenzním řízení dvěma recenzenty, kdy jeden pracuje na odlišném pracovišti než autor studie či sdělení. V případě jednoho negativního posudku je vypracován posudek třetí. Recenzent může doporučit: zveřejnění příspěvku, zveřejnění po dopracování úprav, přepracování příspěvku a zveřejnění po novém recenzním řízení. Posudky jsou archivovány.

 

V rámci recenzního řízení jsou u každého příspěvku posuzována následující kritéria:

  • Aktuálnost příspěvku z hlediska současného stavu poznání.
  • Etické aspekty.
  • Originalita a přínos ve vědeckém kontextu.
  • Splnění cílů a jejich interpretace.
  • Struktura a srozumitelnost textu.
  • Výběr metod vzhledem k problému.
  • Výběr zdrojů, jejich relevantnost.

Pravidla otevřeného přístupu

Tento časopis poskytuje okamžitý otevřený přístup ke svému obsahu na principu, podle kterého volné zpřístupnění výsledků výzkumu podporuje větší celosvětovou výměnu poznatků.

Etické principy

Jako součást procesu odesílání příspěvku je požadováno, aby autoři zaškrnutím potvrdili, že jejich příspěvek je v souladu se všemi následujícími položkami. Příspěvky, které nebudou v souladu s těmito pravidly, mohou být autorům vráceny.

  1. Příspěvek nebyl dosud publikován ani není v současnosti zaslán do jiného časopisu pro posouzení (nebo bylo podáno vysvětlení v Komentářích pro editora).
  2. Soubor příspěvku je ve formátu OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, WordPerfect nebo Pdf.
  3. URL odkazy na reference jsou uvedeny všude, kde to bylo možné.
  4. Text má řádkování 1; písmo má velikost 12; je použita spíše kurzíva než podtržení (kromě url adres);všechny ilustrace tabulky a obrázky jsou umístěny spíše v textu, než na konci.
  5. Text odpovídá stylistickým a bibliografickým požadavkům uvedeným v Pokynech pro autory, které se nachází na stránce O časopisu.
  6. Pokud je příspěvek zasílán do recenzované sekce časopisu, byly dodrženy instrukce pro Zajištění anonymního recenzního řízení.

Focus and Scope

Diagnostics and Consultancy in Assisting Professions

Expert-reviewed journal focused on the problematics of diagnostics and consultancy in various areas of client support – educational, psychological, career, personal, social, nutritional, sports, anthropological.

Journal Diagnostics and consultancy is an independent professional peer-reviewed journal focused on the problematics of diagnostics and advice in various areas of support client/patient.

It is published electronically in Czech language as a periodical publication twice a year. One issue per year is regularly devoted to the issues of academic pedagogical and psychological diagnostics, the second number will be devoted to other diagnostics and advisory areas and for different age groups.

The journal provides a platform for sharing experience of universities, especially from the pedagogical and psychological diagnostics and consultancy, at the same time allows to share experiences also from other areas of the clients/patients support.

There are published original scientific papers by Czech and foreign authors, survey study, discussion papers, analytical reviews and reports relating to diagnostics and consultancy theory and practice reflected in different levels of cooperation with the client / patient.

Ethics Policy

The journal DAC follows the publication ethics policy according COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines https://publicationethics.org/guidance/Guidelines.The Publication Ethics guidelines cover duties of editors, reviewers, authors and the publisher.

All research involving human subjects presented in the submitted manuscripts must have been carried out in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration of 1964 (amended 2013) and the text of manuscript must contain statements that the research was approved by an ethics committee, and that informed consent was signed by the subjects, refer to the ICMJE Recommendations for the Protection of Research Participants.

It is used the “Inclusive language” acknowledges diversity, conveys respect to all people, is sensitive to differences, and promotes equal opportunities. Manuscripts should make no assumptions about the beliefs or commitments of any reader, should contain nothing which might imply that one individual is superior to another on the grounds of race, sex, culture or any other characteristic.

Conflict of Interest

All authors are requested to disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interests including financial, personal or other relationships with other people or organizations that could inappropriately influence, or be perceived to influence, their work.

Contributors

The corresponding author has to declare individual contributions of the co-authors to the article. All authors must have participated in the research and/or article preparation, so roles for all authors should be described. The statement that all authors have approved the final article should be true and included in the disclosure.

Submission of the Manuscript

Submission of the manuscript implies that contain original text that has not previously been published, and is not currently under consideration for publication nor will be submitted elsewhere until the final decision and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere. The journal uses double-blind review, which means the identities of the authors are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa. To facilitate this, please include the following separately: Title page (with author details): This should include the title, authors' names, affiliations, acknowledgements and any declaration of interest statement, and a complete address for the corresponding author including an e-mail address. Blinded manuscript (no author details): The main body of the paper (including the references, figures, tables and any acknowledgements) should not include any identifying information, such as the authors' names or affiliations.

Submission to this journal proceeds totally online and you will be guided step-by-step through the creation and uploading of your files. All correspondence, including notification of the editor's decision and requests for revision, takes place by e-mail removing the need for a paper trail.

Ensure that the following items are present:

  • Both British and American English is allowed, but its usage must be consistent throughout the whole paper.
  • Be sure that according the Instructions for authors the manuscript contains all parts: Title; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Aim; Hypotheses; Methods; Results; Discussion; Conclusions.
  • All presented figures and tables are clearly marked, including numbers and titles, and are mentioned in the text under the correct number.
  • All references mentioned in the reference list are cited in the text.
  • Permission has been obtained for use of copyrighted material from other sources.
  • A conflict of interest is declared.
  • One author has been designated as the corresponding author with contact details: (e-mail, address, and phone).
  • In the end of the manuscript the suggestions are given for 2 potential reviewers and their contact details (e-mail, address). Note that the editor retains the sole right to decide whether or not the suggested reviewers are used. 

Review Process

All authors listed on a manuscript have agreed to its submission. The signature of the corresponding author on the letter of submission signifies that these conditions have been fulfilled. Received manuscript is first examined by the editor. Manuscript with insufficient priority for publication is rejected promptly. Incomplete submissions or manuscripts not prepared in the advised style will be sent back to authors without scientific review. Manuscripts which conform to journal scope and style will be sent to at least two reviewers. The journal uses double-blind review, which means that reviewers remain anonymous by default.

Reviewers are expected to objectively evaluate papers and inform DAC editor of any potential conflict of interest. Confidentiality of the manuscripts they are reviewing should be maintained. Potential reviewers who decline to review a paper are encouraged to state the reason why.

Editorial Ethics

At the end of the review process, the editor-in-chief makes the final decision of acceptance or rejection, based on the reviewers’ reports and the recommendation of the topical editor in charge of the review process. If there is any conflict of interest between an editor and an author, the editor in question will not be involved in the review and the decision processes.

The “Editorial Manager” system, used for manuscript submission in DAC, will automatically anonymize the reviewers’ comments to authors. Reviewers can also send attached files (review report, commented manuscript) that can be communicated to the author; in this case the version sent to the author is also automatically anonymized (the author of the comments cannot be identified). However, reviewers should not enter their names or initials in the file name or inside the document.

DAC publications are freely available at no charge on the website, http://odborne.casopisy.palestra.cz/index.php/dap. Authors are encouraged to disseminate their work: they can directly download the pdf files of their articles from the website and distribute to interested parties.

The names, affiliations and email addresses entered in the journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of the journal DAC and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

We do our best to avoid ethical issues before publication, but anyone who suspects an ethical issue is encouraged to contact us. The editorial team of DAC can be contacted at e-mail: dap@palestra.cz. Any suspicion of ethical issues, misconduct or conflict of interest will be investigated by the journal.

Publishing ethics

The publication ethics of the scientific journal Diagnostics and Consultancy in Assisting Professions is based on the Code of Ethics of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), available at www.publicationethics.org, the Code of Ethics of the Czech Association of Pedagogical Research (www.capv.cz) and the results of the Ethics Committee of the Council of Universities Institutions of the Czech Republic. The statement on publishing ethics is divided into three parts devoted to the duties of editors, reviewers and authors.

Duties of authors

  • the author guarantees that he wrote the original work;
  • if the author uses already published materials, he is obliged to cite them in an appropriate manner;
  • the author warrants that the manuscript has not been published anywhere yet;
  • the author is obliged to list all the sources he used in creating the manuscript;
  • if the author finds that there has been any conflict of interest, he is obliged to notify the editorial office.

Duties of the Editor-in-Chief

  • the editor-in-chief is obliged to consider and decide which of the papers sent to the editorial office of journal will be published;
  • the editor-in-chief guarantees that all information concerning the editors of the manuscripts offered will be kept confidential;
  • if the editor-in-chief finds that there has been any conflict of interest, he is obliged to inform the  editorial office of journal;
  • the editor-in-chief guarantees that the content of each manuscript offered to the editors will be assessed in a review procedure.

Duties of reviewers

  • the reviewer must ensure that all information concerning the manuscripts offered to the editors is kept confidential;
  • if the reviewer finds that there has been any conflict of interest, he is obliged to inform the editorial staff of journal;
  • if the reviewer finds any copyright offenses on the part of the author or suspects plagiarism, he is obliged to inform the editor-in-chief;
  • the reviewer is obliged to evaluate the works offered to the editors objectively and to express his / her opinions on them clearly and comprehensibly.
