Significance of awareness about wellness in sportsmen

Wellness je komplexní fenomén, který souvisí s podporou životního stylu a zdraví, a proto se stává součástí podpory zdraví iu sportovců. Základním cílem této práce bylo ověřit přístup vybraných vzorků českých atletů k problematice wellness, ve vztahu ke zdraví a zdravému životnímu stylu. Dílčím cílem bylo zjistit úroveň praktického využití wellness zdrojů v životě sportovců a dopad wellness na jejich životní styl. Pro získání dat byla použita metoda dotazníku "Well_Aware_In" (Krejčí, Vacek, 2013). Výzkum se zúčastnilo celkem 536 českých sportovců z celé České republiky. Odpovědi v dotazníku měly charakter verbálních proměnných a test dobré shody (chi-kvadrát test nezávislosti) byl použit k analýze genderových a věkových odezev, které se používají především k ověření závislosti dvou slovních proměnných. Hypotézy o nezávislosti dvou proměnných oproti alternativním hypotézám, že tyto proměnné jsou závislé, byly postupně testovány. Z výsledků můžeme vyvodit, že čeští sportovci mají obecně pozitivní vztah k wellness, ale bohužel se nesnaží zapojit se do aktivit tohoto typu v každodenním životě, zejména kvůli nedostatku času. Dalším významným výstupem této práce je zjištění, že mladí lidé mají špatnou wellness podporu od zdravotních pojišťoven a sportovních klubů.
